The pleasure of exploring a country is intimately linked to another great satisfaction of travel: discovering great places to stay overnight.

In this article, you’ll find a selection of hotels that will give your trip that delicious taste of the unexpected in the evening.

Where to stay in Cambodia: 3 places to remember

Want to spend a few days in incredible surroundings? Discover below our selection of charming hotels and unusual accommodations across Cambodia. Let yourself be inspired.

The Penh house in the capital, Phnom Penh

As soon as you enter the lobby of the Penh House, you’re immediately welcomed and transported. The bright, grandiose lobby will take your breath away as you admire the art works surrounding you. On arrival, you’ll be offered a refreshing lemongrass welcome drink and encouraged to relax and enjoy the lobby space before checking in.

Once in the room, we discover the size of the space, a comfortable bed, and a modern bathroom.

Another wonderful feature of the Penh House is the gym! Yes, a gym! Since we’re on the road 24/7, we have a hard time finding places where we can get a good workout! The Penh House gym overlooks the lush greenery outside. The perfect place to work up a sweat!

SWIMMING POOL

The swimming pool is probably the most impressive feature of this hotel. On the roof, you’ll find a large infinity pool overlooking the entire city. This pool is the epitome of luxury. We could easily have spent a whole day lounging by the pool with dozens of sun loungers, an outdoor shower, and a sunken bar. We were lucky enough to have the pool to ourselves, which made the experience even more fabulous!

Opposite the pool is a modern, elegant bar and restaurant, with a varied menu and exquisite drinks. In the mornings, the restaurant offers guests an extensive breakfast buffet.

Bamboo Jam resort on Koh Rong Samloen: the perfect place to stay

A long crescent of perfect white sand, Saracen Bay beach is postcard-perfect for tropical getaways. It’s perfect for those looking for waterfront accommodation with plenty of seaside restaurants and laid-back bars. On this beach is the Bamboo Jam Resort.

It’s a wonderful place, ideally located right on the beach. You wake up with your feet in the sand. The bungalows are all right on the beach, with a small area where you’ll find a terrace corner and your deckchair. It’s an idyllic place to disconnect from the world.

The à la carte breakfast is excellent and is served in the hotel’s restaurant, where you can also dine for lunch and dinner.

And last but not least, the staff are very friendly. Many thanks to Emmy and her staff for a incredible stay. We’ll always remember it!

Stay at the RiverTree Villa & Resort in Kampot

The RiverTree Villa & Resort are magnificent villas located in a small haven of peace, slightly out of the center, in a quiet setting, buried in vegetation and water palms.

This complex is perfectly integrated into nature, with the river running right behind the villas. The rooms are magnificent, spacious, and comfortable, and the showers are uncluttered. The decor is sophisticated. Each room has a terrace overlooking the river. Kayaks are available for a stroll under the canopy of water palms.

We loved the location and the activities offered (kayaking, quad biking, etc.).

Every evening, we also took advantage of the sauna and jacuzzi included in the price of the room.
